Build an app with Claude
You’ll add Maypop to Claude once, then build and share apps by asking. No code, no install.
1. Connect Maypop
Section titled “1. Connect Maypop”- Sign in at app.maypop.ai in your browser.
- In Claude, open
Settings→Connectors→Add custom connector. - Name it Maypop and paste
https://api.app.maypop.ai/mcp. - Press
Connect. Maypop opens and lists what Claude may do — approve it.
In a conversation, make sure the Maypop connector is turned on in the tools menu.
2. Ask for an app
Section titled “2. Ask for an app”Say who it’s for and what they do with it:
Build me a Maypop app for our picnic on Saturday. Everyone adds the dish they’re bringing, and it warns when two people bring the same thing.
Claude starts a Studio build and tells you when it’s done, usually in a few minutes. If the Studio agent needs a decision — say, whether to group dishes by course — Claude asks you and passes on your answer. Claude gives you a link; open it to try the app.
3. Change it
Section titled “3. Change it”Keep asking: “Add a section for drinks”, “Make it look like a chalkboard menu”. Each change is a new build. Your app is private, so changes publish themselves as they finish.
4. Share it
Section titled “4. Share it”Share the picnic app with my Picnic group so everyone can use it.
or
Make the picnic app open to anyone with the link, view only.
Once people can open it, Claude waits for you to say “publish” before your next changes go live.
Ideas to try
Section titled “Ideas to try”- “What needs my attention in Maypop?”
- “Summarise what I missed in the Book Club group and draft a reply.”
- “Find a public habit tracker on Maypop and remix it for my running club.”
- “How many credits have I used this month?”
Builds use your credits. Reading and chatting don’t. More: What an assistant can do.
