Share an app
Available since v0.51.0
Every app has one link: app.maypop.ai/app/<id>. Sharing decides what
happens when someone opens it. Press Share on the app (or in Studio) to
open the share sheet. Changes apply immediately — there’s no save button,
just Done.
Invite people and groups
Section titled “Invite people and groups”Type into Add people by email, username or group:
- A username finds that person.
- An email address invites them, even if they’ve never used Maypop: “We’ll email them a link — they don’t need an account yet.” If the address already has an account, it’s shared with them right away.
- A group shares the app into that group’s shelf for all its members. See Apps in groups.
When the box is empty, it suggests people you’ve shared with before and your
groups. Each person or group gets a role; the default is
Can use.
Who has access
Section titled “Who has access”Who has access lists the owner, then people, then pending invitations
(marked Invited), then groups with their member counts. Use the role menu
on a row to change it, or Remove access / Cancel invitation /
Remove group access. Removing shows an Undo.

A few things to know:
- Viewing needs no account. Anyone can open a viewable app and try it.
Anonymous visitors are always read-only; an app can offer them
Sign in to save. - Opening by link never gives more than use. Editing and managing always come from being on the list.
- Narrowing takes effect at once. People who reached the app through the link lose that access straight away; people on the list keep theirs.
- Apps open to anyone with the link are listed on Explore
and can appear in search engines. To keep a link-only app out of
listings, use
Anyone with the link can ask for access.
Access requests
Section titled “Access requests”With Anyone with the link can ask for access, visitors see “keeps this
app closed. Ask for access and they can let you in.” and a Request access
button. Requests appear at the top of your share sheet — “1 person is
asking for access” — with Approve and Decline. Someone declined can ask
again the next day.
Copy the link
Section titled “Copy the link”Copy link in the share sheet’s footer copies the app’s address. People
without sharing rights see a Share this app block with the link instead,
when the app isn’t private.
Share a specific screen
Section titled “Share a specific screen”Apps can share a link to one screen — a poll, a game room, a list — with their own share buttons. Whoever opens it lands on that screen, with the access the app’s settings give them. Developers: see Deep links and sharing.
